Hello !

I would like to point out several issues with the widescreen patches used in conjunction with the Payne Evolution mod, and an issue with the comics scenes.

First of all, here are the characteristics of my screen : LG38WN95C-W (3840x1600).

1/ When I use the widescreen patch present in the Payne Evolution mod archive, the comic scenes flicker, which is rather annoying.

2/ The cut scenes during the game and the kill cams are not rendered correctly, we end up with the game display in the background during the cut scene or the kill cam, while they should normally be displayed in full screen.

The problem also presents itself in levels where max is in his nightmares.

3/ By using the alternative patch available directly on the Thirteenag website, the two problems above are resolved but I find myself with a black veil in the middle of the screen during the game (which seems to correspond to the 16/9 format classic), which makes the game hardly playable.

I tried to adjust the settings of the two patches with the configuration files but it doesn't change anything.

Is it possible for you to check check what the problem is so you can fix it? Below are screenshots to illustrate! Thanks in advance for helping the Max Payne 2 modding and players community! =)

Unfortunately the fix relies on a way the original game works, so these mods won't work properly with it.

Merci pour votre retour rapide =)

Je ne comprend pas trop votre réponse car ayant testé les deux correctifs, je sais que le patch fournis avec le mod a été réalisé par ThirteenAg spécifiquement pour Payne Evolution.

Le deuxième semble effectivement être plus générique puisque disponible directement sur votre site.

Etant donné que le deuxième patch ne présente pas les problèmes relatifs à la kill cams et aux cuts scènes (et même en l'utilisant avec payne evolution), je suis un peu étonné qu'il ne soit pas possible de corriger le patch fournis avec le mod en se basant sur le travail réalisé sur le second patch, pour faire disparaitre ces deux problèmes.

Ou bien de corriger tout simplement le deuxième patch pour faire disparaitre le voile noir présent.

I didn't say it was impossible to fix, I only said that my fix is for original game and that's the only thing I intended to fix.

Ok vu comme ça c'est clair =) C'est bien dommage mais je respecte votre choix bien entendu, je n'ai malheureusement pas les compétences à ce jour pour reprendre ce travail mais le code source est il partagé? Merci
