How to type check if a string is a valid path

I'm trying to build a sidebar with links from a config, and looking for a way how to type check paths. I see ValidateToPath, but not sure how to use it.

This is not working:

	path: ValidateToPath<string>;

}

export const navigationSections: NavigationSection[] = [
