However, the reaction "ornithine + proline --> ornithine + proline" does not fall within the catalytic activities or functionalities mediated by this gene, and thus the gene does not participate in this specific reaction. No
ENSG00000103064 Q92536 MAR05669: cysteine + Na+ + tryptophan --> cysteine + Na+ + tryptophan ENSG00000103064 or ENSG00000103257 Pending No, the gene is not relevant to the reaction provided. Analysis and explanation. The gene ENSG00000103064 encodes a protein that primarily functions as an antiporter to transport L-arginine in exchange for other amino acids such as L-leucine, L-glutamine, L-lysine, and others, often involving sodium ions. The given reaction, however, involves cysteine, Na+, and tryptophan, which do not align with the substrates or products of the catalytic activities specified for this gene. Therefore, the gene does not participate in the provided reaction. No

Keep ENSG00000021488 for MAR05949: ornithine + proline --> ornithine + proline, this gene associates with SLC3A1 to form a functional transporter complex that mediates the electrogenic exchange between cationic amino acids and neutral amino acids.
Remove ENSG00000103064 for MAR05944: ornithine + tryptophan --> ornithine + tryptophan,it seems to be in a sodium-dependent manner.
