It seems from the FAQ of the BAG that, if I get a new iPhone, I cannot transfer all the encounters and the syncs on the old device to the new one. At some point that would seem to necessitate operating SwissCovid on two devices for an interim period, as the old device might have encounters that match new ones uploaded by people newly diagnosed as positive. Seems complicated and error prone. There should be some way to migrate all that data, e. g. over some protected cloud service.

The IDs (RPI) which the ExposureNotification.framework exchanges over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) are only stored locally on the phone and by design are not included in device backups (decision of Apple/Google). This is a privacy/safety measure. Feel free to send a feedback to Google/Apple.
