Currently when "prefer-reduced-motion" is enable, auto-play does not function at all. Instead, the animations should simply be eliminated and the items should still shuffle through. Our organization uses a platform that has this library embedded in it, and our VM's have Windows animations disabled, resulting in the widget on our intranet site to no longer have auto-play functionality.
Seeing as "prefer-reduced-motion" should only effect motion related effects, I do not see why the auto-play feature becomes completely disabled when this setting is on.
