Hi, it seems that completing Metallic Madness 3 will not trigger an autosplit. I don't remember this issue occuring when I last speedran Story Mode around a year ago, so I believe that the issue must have been created in an update since.

I don't seem to be able to reproduce the issue. It splits correctly here.
Can you check the version of the autosplitter in your settings?

I'm using autosplitter version 1.3.1, Origins version 2.0.2 (not got Plus)

I've redownloaded LiveSplit and the autosplitter, made sure all mods are off and the same issue keeps occurring, are you 100% sure beating MM3 triggers the autosplit for you?
