I've tried this out on fabric with only the better end mod installed and it was working fine, but every version of the connector I load, the same type of biome generation bug occurs, with minimal differences. If you try to "/locate" any of the Better end cave biomes, it will say they do not exist, not only that but it seems as if most if not all biomes in the mod have been shrunk in size and cluttered together, turning on f3 and just flying through them will result in the biomes changing very quickly in both the f3 menu and in front of you, you'll often find random pieces of biomes with leaves in them generating just hanging off or completely in mid air on end islands. It seems the dragon fly mobs will follow a similar pattern and spawn below the end islands and not move if loading the mod with Connector 5, they seem to spawn scarcely in Connector 6 but they do move around a bit unlike in beta 5, their spawn rates seem to be linked to the blue glowshroom trees which don't even seem to spawn at all in beta 5 and very very rarely in beta 6. It feels as if the end is just a giant ice spikes biome with this bug as the ice spikes that float in the sky in the original mod sometimes, spawn EVERYWHERE in this version of the Connector. Almost none of the modded trees even generate.
Steps to reproduce
Download Connector 5 or 6
Download Better End
Launch game and enter outer End Islands

Already known issue, dupe of #1331 and this issue also happens in the nether with that mod, except most of better nether's vegetation and trees grow on netherrack so at first glance you may not notice it.
If you look at the thread there's a datapack that attempts to mitigate the issue somewhat but it's not fully complete made from @Cixon. I have no idea if @Su5eD is working on this and it's even fixable connector side. BetterX may be singing it's swan song, Paulevs has quit mod development since a few years and the only dev left on BetterX is Quiqueck and he posts in the discord maybe once or twice a year at best. Paulevs provides updates from him once in a blue moon. BClib is a buggy, janky problematic mess. Both better end and better nether in natural fabric are broken, surface rules I think work but a lot of items and mechanics don't work. Post 1.16 broke the hell out of the compatibility and quality of the library and Quiqueck is trying to fix it with a new mod worldweaver so the whole thing is in flux. Being busy and the single dev there have been zero updates in months, Paulevs has said fixes are in progress but when, and even if, they land is anyone's guess. The amount of issues BCLib causes when you add other mods is insane, on 1.20 you were required to add basically every terrablender mod to get surface rules to work or else some mods like RU or BOP wouldn't work. Terrrablender for fabric doesn't work and insta bombs with connector on neoforge, so if that were to somehow magically fix all surface rules like 1.20.1 (connector use or not, since it broke across the board) it's not even viable right now.
It may be a while before betterX is in a working, usable state, and at this point it may even be one foot in the grave already and we don't know it. From what I've seen looking into this issue the only hope is Quiqueck can wrangle the time and motivation to bring the quality back into the worldgen library these mods rely on, or he gets another dev or two to help. Being solo has put a block to sinytra support, so you can't ask them since they'll tell you to not use it. The datapack solution can work but from the little bit I looked it's time consuming to get down right so I don't think anyone's going to do it.
The other fun fact is the moment you install any betterx mod, swimming stops working as well. That one I think is a connector issue, in #1331 I think they also link a temporary fix someone wrote but I'm not sure how well it works as I haven't used it yet.
