Scanning the setup with virus total returns a low community score and one vendor flagged as malicious. One flagged vendor out of 66 is not a big concern. Low score alone is not a big concern. Together though they create enough concern for some users to decide not to use. Suggestions for improvement: Research and fix issues that cause the one vendor flag. It's been discussed already in other issues and discussions.
We don't control how anti-viruses decide to interpret what the code does. These are not issues with the code, anti-viruses simply compare heuristics in their database and that's it, there's no logic behind it.

Even if we buy a certificate, which we won't because it's expensive, it does not guarantee that anti-viruses will respect that certificate.
