y-axis labels are misplaced in subplot mode #183

when --subplot is switched on, the y-axis label is shown inside the bottom plot instead of on the left of the plots
Increasing width and height do not fix this problem, changing yscale does not fix this problem either.

Also, is it possible to show y-axis values and tick marks?
