Description:

Accordingly to the docs "Just mention a team — @engineers, for instance — and all members will get notified instantly."

I want to mention a @team in a channel and trigger notifications for all team members.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a team "test-team" and invite/add members
  2. Mention the @test-team in any channel (outside of the team)

Expected behavior:

Team members get a notification as stated in the docs

Actual behavior:

There is not any information regarding the mentioning (not in the team-channel, no notifications on devices, not anywhere)

Server Setup Information:

  • Version of Rocket.Chat Server:
  • License Type: Enterprise
  • Number of Users: 30.000
  • Operating System: Linux Debian Bullseye
  • Deployment Method: tar
  • Number of Running Instances: 1 (and about 10 others with the same issue)
  • NodeJS Version: v14.21.3
  • MongoDB Version: 5.0.30

Client Setup Information

  • Desktop App or Browser Version: Desktop App (4.1.1)
  • Operating System: Linux (Debian Bookworm)

not yet. Should I?

If you have an Enterprise licence it is what you pay for!

They have their own internal repos & tracking so github is really just a final dump of internal work. As a result it is largely ignored.

For a faster response open a ticket via your cloudy admin panel.

Reference this issue.

Please don't @ - it isn't necessary. Nothing gets tasked/assigned here.

Please read this.

Note that this has been logged through a support ticket and is being handled internally. You should familiarise yourself with how Rocket.Chat backend systems work.
