FYI, the failed documenter build is due to breaking changes for Documenter v1.0
375cb38

Quick fixes are:

  • pin Documenter to v0 in docs/Project.jl via compat
  • pin Documenter to v1 in docs/Project.jl via compat and add warnonly=true to the makedocs kwargs

Otherwise I think we could make a "Internal API" section in the docs.
I have no time for a PR until next weekend, unfortunately.
