Makoto Matsumoto and Takuji Nishimura are NOT part of the R package or method development. I used the Mersenne Twister random number generator developed by Makoto Matsumoto and Takuji Nishimura. The Mersenne Twister random number generator code is in cokus.cpp and I quote the writer of the cokus.cpp file: "This version is a recode by Shawn Cokus ([email protected]) on March 8, 1998 of a version by Takuji Nishimura (who had suggestions from Topher Cooper and Marc Rieffel in July-August 1997)."
