Currently it is based on the Mac address, however this may be unsafe, if one malicious user finds the MAC of a given device, it could for instance do things such as unregister itself.

Currently no deviceid shows up on RPi. I Don’t know why but assume that this Will be fixed with this issue as well.

Same problem in Arch linux, seems like the code is broken on Linux based devices.
