+ No Agenda is more than just a podcast, it's a community, and that wouldn't be possible without the work of our
+ producers. There are tons of ways producers help us create the show and it's not because they're getting paid
+ to do it. Producers of our show turn the value they receive from the show into value for the community
+ through custom art, meetups,
+ monetary contributions and much, much more. This isn't by coincidence,
+ it's our mission.
+
+
Art Generator
+
+ Every episode of The No Agenda Show has unique artwork created by producers like you. Visit the art generator
+ to browse the vast library of artwork created for past episodes or show your creativity by designing
+ your own!
+
+ No Agenda is more than just a podcast, it's a community. Producers around the world organise meetups through
+ No Agenda Meetups to connect
+ with like-minded people. Find a meetup in your area or if there isn't any, organise one yourself, it's that easy!
+
+ Some producers have gone extra lengths to provide their time and talent by creating projects expanding the
+ No Agenda community into unknown territories. These projects are not associated with No Agenda. We have no
+ control over their content.
+
+
+ Did you create something for No Agenda you'd like to show off? Let us know.

+ value-for-value model.
+
+
+ Donations to the No Agenda Show can only be sent through PayPal, Stripe or as a check to
+ No Agenda Show, Box 339, El Cerrito, CA 94530. To donate with PayPal or Stripe, visit
+ noagendadonations.com and click the donate button.
+
+
Recurring donations are also possible and really keep the show going when numbers are low.
+ We ask anybody who donates to the show to send a donation note via email to
+ {{ donate_email }}
+ with the donation amount and name of your payment account in the subject title.
+ While generally only notes from executive producers ($200 and up) are read on the show because of time constraints,
+ we read all of them. Long notes may be subject to editing.
+
+
Mentions & Producer Titles
+
+ Donors of $200 or more will become
+ associate executive producer of the show while donors of $333 or more will automatically become executive producers.
+
+
+ This title will be listed in the shownotes and is a genuine credit that we will vouch for. Executive producers are
+ generally responsible for the financing of a project and this is a legitimate and real credit for your bio.
+
+
+ Donors contributing $50 and above will get a special mention on the show. Anyone donating $49.99 or less will
+ automatically remain anonymous. Any donation requesting anonymity will also
+ be respected (Please mention it at the top of your message).

+ In addition to a producer title, donations go towards your peerage status. Once you've reached $1,000 in donations
+ you become Knight of the No Agenda Roundtable and receive a special knight ring.
+
+ The term “Dude named Ben” is regularly used by the hosts of No Agenda to refer to IT guys (or “Dudette named
+ Bernadette” for the IT ladies). It’s a reference to IT departments often being overlooked and undervalued within
+ companies, while modern business processes don’t function if a problem occurs in the technology stack. When digital
+ workflows stop, dudes named Ben are the only ones who can fix it and we’re happy to carry that burden, even if we
+ don’t always get the recognition we deserve.
+
+
+ There’s a whole team of dudes named Ben that keep No Agenda running, and you can read more about us below.
+
+ Who is Adam going to call with IT problems? voidzero of course. From the No Agenda infrastructure all the way to
+ Adam’s email, he single-handedly keeps it running, and they never had a fight!
+
+ The No Agenda website isn’t just a podcast player. It’s a handcrafted work of art to experience everything No Agenda
+ has got to offer, created by a simple dude named Ben, me. Please consider donating so I can make it even better.
+
+ Whether you listen alone or with fellow producers, listening to the No Agenda Stream is free of charge and without
+ advertising 24/7 because of to the hard work of Sir Bemrose. Thanks to his diverse curation of interesting and
+ entertaining podcasts, there’s something for everybody to enjoy.
+
+ Some people don’t need to start a podcast to change the podcasting industry, but Dave Jones did it both anyways
+ when he joined Adam in starting the Podcasting 2.0 movement.

Paul Couture
+
+ Each episode of The No Agenda Show has unique artwork selected from the No Agenda Art Generator,
+ created and maintained by Sir Paul.

Sir Dude Named Daniel
+
+ No Agenda is a global podcast which is why No Agenda producers are the best type of people you can meet up with,
+ no matter which FEMA region you find yourself in today. Sir Daniel made this possible through No Agenda Meetups,
+ so remember your resident dudes named Ben when meeting new friends out there.
+
+ The No Agenda Stream is an online audio broadcast that's live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, filled with quality
+ podcasts curated for listeners of our show. In addition to running pre-recorded podcasts, some shows are
+ recorded live on the air (like No Agenda), in which case you can help produce the show by trolling the hosts
+ in our Troll Room. The stream is hosted by
+ voidzero and run by Sir Bemrose.
+
+ The No Agenda Show is recorded live on the No Agenda Stream every
+ thursday and sunday at 6PM UTC. The show is always preceded by
+ Darren O'Neill's Rock 'N' Roll PreShow, so make sure to
+ get there early.
+
+ While listening to the stream, feel free to troll in our Troll Room,
+ but remember to stay civil. Note that to participate in the Troll Room you need to
+ register a nickname
+ however, following along is completely commitment-free.
+
+ No Agenda is a podcasting LLC whose goal is to deconstruct the news media to reveal slanted stories and
+ the reasoning for slanted or misleading reporting. The purpose is not to critique or discredit news reports but,
+ through media deconstruction, to find the actual underlying story to give the audience a realistic understanding
+ of current affairs and events and provide a normalized, objective understanding of them.
+
+
+
+ No Agenda has no political motivations and does no original reporting but does do original research on
+ stories as needed. On occasion, the show will read and disseminate what it calls “boots on the ground”
+ reporting, which replaces “letters to the editor” and is used as background information. In some cases,
+ outsiders will be contacted to clarify a fact to improve analysis. These “boots on the ground” reports are
+ provided by the audience of producers who voluntarily contribute these messages to the show.
+
+
+
+ In the process of deconstruction, deep research into a topic will often be done using publicly-available but
+ often obscure media reports. No Agenda also digs into the backgrounds of individuals and
+ non-governmental organizations. The show will often use elements of humor, which may include ridicule, to
+ manage a three-hour, twice weekly audience engagement.
+
+
+
+ The first No Agenda Show
+ was aired via the Internet on Oct. 26, 2007. Its sole support comes from direct donations from the audience,
+ composed of individuals called “producers”, as they are responsible for the show’s production and credited
+ as such.
+
+
+
+ To protect the viability of No Agenda LLC and shield it from political attack or vandalism, the show
+ established its own distribution network and avoids third-party entanglements to negate or minimize the
+ potential for show discontinuance or political “take-downs.”
+
+
+
+ No Agenda has adopted an open-source approach to its content and trademarked name allowing third
+ parties to leverage the show to produce related-products such as branded t-shirts and mugs. This also means that
+ anyone can post the final produced show on their own site(s).
+
+
+
Finances
+
+
+ To maintain objectivity and continue the mission as stated above, the show cannot take any corporate, government
+ (foreign or domestic) or foundation underwriting or advertising. The show relies on the direct support of the
+ producers and consumers of the show using a value-for-value model. All donors over $50 are credited by name on
+ the show itself to maintain transparency.
+
+ Get No Agenda in your mailbox with information about upcoming shows, behind-the-scenes details and more! The
+ No Agenda Newsletter is the healthiest and most educative newsletter in the nation, according to the
+ Mueller Report.
+
+ We ask anybody who donates to the show to send a donation note via email to
+ {{ donate_email }}
+ with the donation amount and name of your payment account in the subject title.
+ While generally only notes from executive producers ($200 and up) are read on the show because of time constraints,

Birthday shoutouts
+
+ Birthday shout outs can also be sent via email to
+ {{ donate_email }}.
+ Please specify the name of the birthday boy/girl, age, and birthday date!
+
+ Producers who donate $1,000 or help us produce the show in other valuable ways are granted an
+ exclusive title as Knight of the No Agenda Roundtable. Men are given the moniker "Sir" and women are granted
+ the title of "Dame". In addition to knighthood, producers can receive several title changes:

+
+ Sir/Dame ($1,000)
+
+ You become member of the No Agenda Roundtable with special consideration by the show hosts.
+ This entails a special ceremony. All upgrades to this title receive mention when requested.

The No Agenda Show
+
+ The No Agenda Show is an award-winning podcast by Adam Curry
+ and John C. Dvorak running since 2007. Every episode of the show is jam-packed with
+ clips, analyses, funny bits and boots-on-the-ground reporting of current events provided by producers of the
+ show all around the world, each of them an unique experience worthy of the title "Best Podcast In The
+ Universe".
+
+
+ Episodes of the show are combined with unique artwork from our producers,
+ shownotes where you can find sources and additional information
+ about topics discussed on the show plus transcripts and chapters so you can easily follow along and find the
+ parts you like the most.
+
+ The No Agenda Show is recorded live on the No Agenda Stream every
+ thursday and sunday at 11AM PT / 2PM ET. Even when we're not recording, there's still plenty of quality content to
+ enjoy.
+
+ The podcasting ecosystem was built on open standard to make it easy for anyone to share their
+ podcast with the world without intervention. Throughout the years, apps and services from big tech corporations
+ have added podcasts to their portfolio, but use those podcasts to further increase their hold on the podcasting
+ ecosystem. This is especially dangerous in a time when people get deplatformed for not conforming to the
+ mainstream narrative. To combat these trends, Adam and his buddy
+ Dave Jones bootstrapped the Podcasting 2.0 movement by creating
+ PodcastIndex, a searchable directory of podcasts published on the internet,
+ supported by the value-for-value model.
+
+
+ If you want to know more about what's happening in the Podcasting 2.0 space, consider listening to the weekly
+ board meeting in the Podcasting 2.0 podcast.
+
+ Taking back control from big tech isn't our only goal. Podcasts are here to stay, but even though the
+ popularity of podcasts has skyrocketed, there has been little innovation in the open podcasting ecosystem
+ in the years since Adam helped develop the original
+ podcast specification. So he's taken it upon himself to do it again by bringing new features to podcasts
+ through a new podcast specification, detailing features that
+ podcasters and developers can implement in their projects. Some of these features are listed below.
+
+
+ Not all podcast apps support these features, that's why we've curated a list of apps
+ you can try to experience the future of podcasting right now!
+
+
Payments
+
+ Thanks to Lightning, monetary value can be exchanged instantly without friction. Integrating payments into
+ the podcasting ecosystem is part of the value-for-value model.
+
+
Live Items
+
+ Podcasts that are recorded live on the internet used to resort to social media to let their listeners know
+ when they are going live. With live items integrated right into the podcast feed, podcast apps can notify
+ their users when their favorite show is going live, so you never miss a live show again.
+
+
Chapters
+
+ Podcasts can create a chapter list for their episodes with custom art associated to each chapter. Don't just
+ tell your listeners, show them what you're talking about.
+
+
Transcripts
+
+ Transcripts offer many advantages to listeners. They might be non-native speakers or simply experiencing
+ hearing problems. Being able to read along with a podcast helps your listeners understand and focus
+ on the content.
+
+
Let's Get Social
+
+ To change the future of podcasting we need input from podcasters, developers and listeners to come up with
+ the right solutions. Join us to help us make podcasting better for everyone.
+
+ The No Agenda website supports and even pioneered many of the features provided by Podcasting 2.0. This is
+ possible thanks to support of our producers under the value-for-value model.
+
+ Most people know us from our podcast, The No Agenda Show, but we are more
+ than just podcasters. No Agenda is a community of people working together to provide completely independent
+ deconstruction of the mainstream media, governments and political campaigns in the United States and around the
+ world. We explain what we do in our mission statement.
+
+
+ Listening to the show is, and forever will be, free thanks to the time, talent and treasure provided by our
+ producers who support and interact with our show.
+ The question is simple; how much value do you get out of the show? If it's a lot, consider giving some value back
+ with a donation. Even if you can't donate to the show, there are tons
+ of other ways to contribute to the show through our value-for-value model.
+
+
+ In addition to our podcast, you can also listen to the No Agenda Stream,
+ a 24/7 audio broadcast filled with quality content for listeners from the No Agenda community, or subscribe to our
+ newsletter.
+
+ The shownotes of No Agenda offer a unique perspective into the current events of every episode, with articles,
+ videos, boots-on-the-ground reports and important documents collected by our producers and curated by Adam
+ before the show starts. They're used by teachers, students and researchers all around the world
+ as a source of information for their work. If you think a piece of media or report needs to be mentioned in
+ the shownotes, send it to Adam.
+
+
+ Throughout the show's lifetime, No Agenda has evolved from being a simple podcast with
+ no ads, no jingles and no agenda, into a community-supported platform for media deconstruction. No Agenda
+ doesn't rely on fancy creator tools like the millennials you see on social media, however, we do rely on
+ a team of tech experts who've created unique tools to make our show
+ possible. One of these tools is the Freedom Controller.
+
+
+ The Freedom Controller was created by Dave Jones at Adam's
+ request as a way to collect and publish the shownotes alongside an episode as an OPML-file. This makes the
+ shownotes not only readable by human resources, but also by machines. Publishing the shownotes in a
+ machine-readable format is an important aspect of our formula as it allows apps to read and use our shownotes
+ for their own experiences, like this website and the search engines made specifically for our shownotes:
+ No Agenda Query, No Agenda Quest
+ and Noagendle. These tools have replaced the Freedom Controller as the
+ primary way to access the shownotes, but have made it an even more important part of our technology stack.
+
+
+ The first episode with shownotes from the Freedom Controller,
+ show 577,
+ was published in December 2013. A full list of shownotes is available
+ at archive.noagendanotes.com.
+
+
Lost Shownotes
+
+ There were shownotes for older episodes of the show, but those have unfortunately been lost to time and Silicon
+ Valley shutdowns. That's why we stopped depending on big corporations to run our show and fully rely on the
+ value-for-value model.
+
+ The Troll Room is an IRC-based chat room. IRC is a precursor of
+ chat apps like Slack, Discord and Twitch, but differs in a very important
+ way, it's free from corporate control. Our chat is hosted by our very own
+ voidzero. You can join the troll
+ room from any IRC chat application
+ using the following server/channel information:
+
+ In addition to our main channel #NoAgenda, there are other channels available on the Troll Room based on other communities,
+ like other podcasts that also record live on the No Agenda Stream. You can get a full list of channels by typing
+ /list into your IRC application, here are some of them to get you started:
+
+ Since the Troll Room is publicly available we get a lot of spam. To prevent spam bots from ruining our trolling
+ experience, you're required to register a nickname with an email address before you can speak in the Troll Room.

How to Register for the Troll Room
+
+ While everybody is free to troll around in our Troll Room, because we're on the internet, we do require our
+ trolls to register a nickname to verify they're not spam bots. This section will explain how to register a
+ nickname, which needs to happen only once, and how to identify when you connect to the chat server.
+
+
+ For nickname registration and identification we use a special
+ system called 'NickServ'. You interact with it by talking
+ to it in a private query.
+
+
Registering your Nickname
+
+ By registering your nickname, you become the owner of it.
+ To register it, which needs to happen only once, issue the
+ following command:
+
+
/ns register <password> <emailaddress>
+
+ Of course, <password> needs to be replaced by the password
+ you prefer, and <emailaddress> needs to be your valid email
+ address. Please do not actually write the < and > charachters.
+
+
+ The email address is only used to send a confirmation
+ email with further instructions, and for nickname recovery
+ in case you lose your password. It's not used for
+ anything else.
+
+
Identifying to your Nickname
+
+ Every time you connect to the chat, you need to identify
+ as the owner of the nickname. This is really easy. After
+ connecting, just type the following:
+
+
/id <password>
+
+ Advanced users can also use their password as the server
+ password (this is used with IRC clients), or even better,
+ use SASL.
+
+
Being Allowed to Chat after Having Identified
+
+ To become unmuted ("being voiced"), all you need to do
+ after identifying, is to supply the following command:
+
+
/cs voice #NoAgenda
+
+ If it worked, your nickname will become prefixed in
+ #NoAgenda with a '+'-sign. If this doesn't work, something
+ went wrong with either the registration part or the
+ identifying part.
+
+
Getting Help
+
If you need more help with this stuff, no problem. Type:
+
+ /query SirBemrose (to talk with Sir Bemrose)
+ /query DarrenO
+ /query cottongin
+
+ Unlike any other broadcasts, No Agenda has decided to be a solely listener-supported production. This means the
+ listeners contribute to the show both financially and through volunteerism, something we call the value-for-value
+ model. If you feel you are getting value from our show, please help us by providing your time, talent or treasure.
+
+
Time
+
+ Listening to the show and passing the word that No Agenda is The Best Podcast In The Universe is a simple and
+ easy way to help out. Spreading the knowledge of No Agenda is also referred to as propogating the formula
+ or hitting people in the mouth (No Agenda is not liable in case you actually got hit in the mouth).
+
+
+ Participating in the troll room or joining one of our
+ meetups is also appreciated.
+
+
Talent
+
+ If you're an expert on one of the topics discussed on the show, or if you found
+ something you think should be discussed on the show, send it to Adam or
+ John (but definitely not both).
+
+
+ Our show is full of producer-created content like show art, jingles,
+ end-of-show mixes, meetup reports, boots-on-the-ground reporting and much more. Simply let your creativity flow
+ and never feel like a douchebag again. Additionally, some producers have created
+ unique experiences to propagate the formula.
+
+
Treasure
+
+ Donors contributing $50 and above will get a special mention on the show. Donors of $200 or more will become
+ associate executive producer of the show while donors of $300 or more will automatically become executive producers.
+
+
+ Anyone donating $49.99 or less will automatically remain anonymous. Any donation requesting anonymity will also
+ be respected (please mention it at the top of your donation note).
+
+ Producers use their time, talent and treasure to keep our show running. We call this the value-for-value model,
+ and it was pioneered by this very show. Using value to support your interests is a lifestyle
+ everybody can enjoy, so don't be a douchebag and start living.
+
+ The website of The No Agenda Show was created by Tim under the
+ value-for-value model (completely voluntarily). Originally designed as an archive of the show, the website
+ is now a full custom-built podcast app for our show, complete with
+ Podcasting 2.0 integration.
+
+ The No Agenda website is custom-built for listeners of No Agenda. While most podcast websites are just a list
+ of episodes, our website integrates transcripts, chapters and shownotes with an integrated player that remembers
+ where you stopped listening. You can also subscribe to notifications for new episodes and the bat signal (when we
+ go live).
+
+
Experiencing a Glitch?
+
Not Receiving Push Notifications
+
+ In case you've subscribed to push notifications but haven't received any, your browser might not support push notifications.
+ Try enabling push notifications in a different browser, like Firefox.
+ If you have an iPhone or iPad, push notifications can't be enabled until Apple adds support to Safari (this is also the
+ case for Safari users on Mac).
+
+
Help Us Improve
+
+ The code of this website is available for free under an open-source license. That
+ means anybody is free to make improvements, or to use the code for their own projects. Did you find
+ something that's not working as expected, or do you have any feedback or questions on how the website works,
+ create an issue on GitHub or contact the website developer
+ Coded Monkey or our system admin voidzero.
+
+ And special thanks to Adam, John and the
+ other dudes named Ben keeping No Agenda running by making this all
+ possible.
+
+
History
+
+ When I started listening to No Agenda in 2014, the No Agenda website wasn't anything to write home about.
+ Like many other podcast websites, it simply republished the podcast feed as a website. It didn't include
+ all past episodes (the archive was hosted separately), it also didn't include shownotes since those are hosted directly
+ on Adam's website. But Adam publishes everything for free, and has gone the extra length to make the data from his projects
+ machine-readable so websites and apps can use the data from No Agenda. He actively encourages producers
+ to use this data for themselves, and lots of producers do.
+
+
+ As a dude named Ben, I immediately wanted to build an archive for
+ No Agenda. Another producer built noagendaplayer.com, which allowed you to play No Agenda from the browser, and
+ even started hinting at support for transcripts, when producer Clogwog started publishing transcripts of the show
+ he generated online on noagendatranscripts.tr and linking the transcripts to a YouTube-video. Adam heavily started
+ promoting these websites, but unfortunately noagendaplayer.com often didn't update correctly.
+
+
No Agenda Experience
+
+ My dream to create a full archive of No Agenda started by building a website that combined the shownotes, the
+ automatically generated transcripts and an archive of the troll room during recordings into a single page. Additionaly,
+ I created a system for producers to create their own chapters, so producers could help divide the show into topics
+ for a potential archive.
+
+
+ The name of my project became No Agenda Experience.
+ A parody on The Joe Rogan Experience, which in turn is a reference to The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
+ No Agenda Social just launched, so I started publishing links to new episodes under the pseudonym Woodstock,
+ allowing the project to spread in the community.
+
+
+ One day, Adam was talking in the show about new projects and how he saw potential for a renaissance in the podcasting
+ community (a precursor to Podcasting 2.0). I've emailed him about my
+ project, and he immediately asked me if I wanted it to become the official No Agenda website, and we never had a fight.
+
+
+ Multiple rewrites of the website later, my plans to turn this website into a No Agenda archive have turned into making
+ a general purpose podcasting player on the web. Maintaining an archive of the troll room during recordings and a
+ database of producer-contributed chapters proved difficult for many reasons and Podcasting 2.0 increased the bar
+ for how a podcasting website should work. I still want to build a full No Agenda archive, but I don't have the time or treasure
+ to do both (yet) so please donate if you want to see this come to life.

- available in this archive for you to enjoy! Throughout the years, we've added more elements to the show's
- formula including unique artwork for every show, shownotes with reference material and auto-generated
- transcripts.
-
- The shownotes of No Agenda offer a unique perspective into the current events of every episode, with articles,
- videos, boots-on-the-ground reports and important documents collected by our producers and curated by Adam
- before the show starts. They're used by teachers, students and researchers all around the world
- as a source of information for their work. If you think a piece of media or report needs to be mentioned in
- the shownotes, send it to Adam.
-
-
- Throughout the show's lifetime, No Agenda has evolved from being a simple podcast with
- no ads, no jingles and no agenda, into a community-supported platform for media deconstruction. No Agenda
- doesn't rely on fancy creator tools like the millennials you see on social media, however, we do rely on
- a team of tech experts who've created unique tools to make our show
- possible. One of these tools is the Freedom Controller.
-
-
- The Freedom Controller was created by Dave Jones at Adam's
- request as a way to collect and publish the shownotes alongside an episode as an OPML-file. This makes the
- shownotes not only readable by human resources, but also by machines. Publishing the shownotes in a
- machine-readable format is an important aspect of our formula as it allows apps to read and use our shownotes
- for their own experiences, like this website and the search engines made specifically for our shownotes:
- No Agenda Query, No Agenda Quest
- and Noagendle. These tools have replaced the Freedom Controller as the
- primary way to access the shownotes, but have made it an even more important part of our technology stack.
-
-
- The first episode with shownotes, show 577,
- was published in December 2013. A full list of shownotes, as published by the Freedom Controller, is available
- at archive.noagendanotes.com.
-
More than 1500 episodes have been recorded over the 15 years that the show is running, and they all have a
special place in our heart. Some of them are extra special though, ranging from episodes explaining the origin
- of the show to compilations of the show.

No Agenda Stream
-
- The No Agenda Stream is an online audio broadcast that's live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, filled with quality
- podcasts curated for listeners of our show. In addition to running pre-recorded podcasts, some shows are
- recorded live on the air (like No Agenda), in which case you can help produce the show by trolling the hosts
- in our Troll Room. The stream is run by Sir Bemrose.
-
- The Troll Room is an IRC-based chat room. IRC is a precursor of
- chat apps like Slack, Discord and Twitch, but differs in a very important
- way, it's free from corporate control. Our chat is hosted by our very own
- voidzero. You can join the troll
- room from any IRC chat application using the following server/channel information:
-
- The No Agenda Show is recorded live on the No Agenda Stream every

How to Register for the Troll Room
-
- While everybody is free to troll around in our Troll Room, because we're on the internet, we do require our
- trolls to register a nickname to verify they're not spam bots. This section will explain how to register a
- nickname, which needs to happen only once, and how to identify when you connect to the chat server.
-
-
- For nickname registration and identification we use a special
- system called 'NickServ'. You interact with it by talking
- to it in a private query.
-
-
Registering your Nickname
-
- By registering your nickname, you become the owner of it.
- To register it, which needs to happen only once, issue the
- following command:
-
-
/ns register <password> <emailaddress>
-
- Of course, <password> needs to be replaced by the password
- you prefer, and <emailaddress> needs to be your valid email
- address. Please do not actually write the < and > charachters.
-
-
- The email address is only used to send a confirmation
- email with further instructions, and for nickname recovery
- in case you lose your password. It's not used for
- anything else.
-
-
Identifying to your Nickname
+
Live 24/7
- Every time you connect to the chat, you need to identify
- as the owner of the nickname. This is really easy. After
- connecting, just type the following:
+ The No Agenda Stream is an online audio broadcast that's live 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, filled with quality
+ podcasts curated for listeners of our show.
-
/id <password>
-
- Advanced users can also use their password as the server
- password (this is used with IRC clients), or even better,
- use SASL.
-
-
Being Allowed to Chat after Having Identified
-
- To become unmuted ("being voiced"), all you need to do
- after identifying, is to supply the following command:
-
-
/cs voice #NoAgenda
-
- If it worked, your nickname will become prefixed in
- #NoAgenda with a '+'-sign. If this doesn't work, something
- went wrong with either the registration part or the
- identifying part.
-

If you need more help with this stuff, no problem. Type:

- No Agenda is a podcasting LLC whose goal is to deconstruct the news media to reveal slanted stories and
- the reasoning for slanted or misleading reporting. The purpose is not to critique or discredit news reports but,
- through media deconstruction, to find the actual underlying story to give the audience a realistic understanding
- of current affairs and events and provide a normalized, objective understanding of them.
-
-
-
- No Agenda has no political motivations and does no original reporting but does do original research on
- stories as needed. On occasion, the show will read and disseminate what it calls “boots on the ground”
- reporting, which replaces “letters to the editor” and is used as background information. In some cases,
- outsiders will be contacted to clarify a fact to improve analysis. These “boots on the ground” reports are
- provided by the audience of producers who voluntarily contribute these messages to the show.
-
-
-
- In the process of deconstruction, deep research into a topic will often be done using publicly-available but
- often obscure media reports. No Agenda also digs into the backgrounds of individuals and
- non-governmental organizations. The show will often use elements of humor, which may include ridicule, to
- manage a three-hour, twice weekly audience engagement.
-
-
-
- The first No Agenda Show
- was aired via the Internet on Oct. 26, 2007. Its sole support comes from direct donations from the audience,
- composed of individuals called “producers”, as they are responsible for the show’s production and credited
- as such.
-
-
-
- To protect the viability of No Agenda LLC and shield it from political attack or vandalism, the show
- established its own distribution network and avoids third-party entanglements to negate or minimize the
- potential for show discontinuance or political “take-downs.”
-
-
-
- No Agenda has adopted an open-source approach to its content and trademarked name allowing third
- parties to leverage the show to produce related-products such as branded t-shirts and mugs. This also means that
- anyone can post the final produced show on their own site(s).
-
-
-
Finances
-
-
- To maintain objectivity and continue the mission as stated above, the show cannot take any corporate, government
- (foreign or domestic) or foundation underwriting or advertising. The show relies on the direct support of the
- producers and consumers of the show using a value-for-value model. All donors over $50 are credited by name on
- the show itself to maintain transparency.

- The podcasting ecosystem was built on open standard to make it easy for anyone to share their
- podcast with the world without intervention. Throughout the years, apps and services from big tech corporations
- have added podcasts to their portfolio, but use those podcasts to further increase their hold on the podcasting
- ecosystem. This is especially dangerous in a time when people get deplatformed for not conforming to the
- mainstream narrative. To combat these trends, Adam and his buddy
- Dave Jones bootstrapped the Podcasting 2.0 movement by creating
- PodcastIndex, a searchable directory of podcasts published on the internet,
- supported by the value for value model.
-
-
- If you want to know more about what's happening in the Podcasting 2.0 space, consider listening to the weekly
- board meeting in the Podcasting 2.0 podcast.
-
- Taking back control from big tech isn't our only goal. Podcasts are here to stay, but even though the
- popularity of podcasts has skyrocketed, there has been little innovation in the open podcasting ecosystem
- in the years since Adam helped develop the original
- podcast specification. So he's taken it upon himself to do it again by bringing new features to podcasts
- through a new podcast specification, detailing features that
- podcasters and developers can implement in their projects. Some of these features are listed below.
-
-
- Not all podcast apps support these features, that's why we've curated a list of apps
- you can try to experience the future of podcasting right now!
-
- Podcasts that are recorded live on the internet used to resort to social media to let their listeners know
- when they are going live. With live items integrated right into the podcast feed, podcast apps can notify
- their users when their favorite show is going live, so you never miss a live show again.
-
-
-
-
-
-
Chapters
-
- Podcasts can create a chapter list for their episodes with custom art associated to each chapter. Don't just
- tell your listeners, show them what you're talking about.
-
-
-
-
-
-
Transcripts
-
- Transcripts offer many advantages to listeners. They might be non-native speakers or simply experiencing
- hearing problems. Being able to read along with a podcast helps your listeners understand and focus
- on the content.
-
- To change the future of podcasting we need input from podcasters, developers and listeners to come up with
- the right solutions. Join us to help us make podcasting better for everyone.
-
- The No Agenda website supports and even pioneered many of the features provided by Podcasting 2.0. This is
- possible thanks to support of our producers under the value for value model.

- Listening to the show and passing the word that No Agenda is The Best Podcast In The Universe is a simple and

No Agenda Website
-
- The website of The No Agenda Show was created by one of our dudes named Ben under the value for value model.
- Originally designed as an archive of the show, the website is now a full custom-built podcast
- app for our show, complete with Podcasting 2.0 integration.
-
-
- Maintaining a website that's pushing the boundaries of podcasting isn't easy, so I've created the
- Dude Named Ben Blog to tell your more about it. If you like this website
- and would like it to keep improving in the future, consider helping Ben out with a donation.

- Try enabling push notifications in a different browser, like Firefox.
- If you have an iPhone or iPad, push notifications can't be enabled until Apple adds support to Safari (this is also the
- case for Safari users on Mac).
