Received the following post over the weekend from the UFS Community Forum - while using Upp to process wrfoutput file. the input file is in wrf lat-lon projection(cylindrical equidistant) , but the UPP output is "rotated latlon32769projection. so my question is how to setup UPP to output the same map projection as input nc file , such as lat-lon proection Original post link: |

@ShawnCebulaNOAA Community support for WRF ended a couple years ago and therefore DTC unfortunately does not have resources to dig into WRF issues. In the past, we have kindly answered simple questions that do not require debugging, or otherwise pointed the users to the UPP section on the WRF/MPAS forum.
As for the question at hand - in general it's helpful to know the version of UPP being used. Generally, UPP output is on the same grid as the input grid, but in this case, I assume UPP does not support output onto CE grids. The user may look at the UPP/sorc/ncep_post.fd/INITPOST.F routine for supported map projections.
