While trying to make USB Logitech Headset H340 work for picroft, I found some bits of the documentation to be either obsolete or not clear enough. The one I can remember now is:

"By default, Picroft uses the PulseAudio subsystem (...) pacmd list-sources"
Either picroft does not use pulseaudio, or pacmd was not installed in the image I was using.
Also (offtopic probably) I'd like to know if it'd be possible to make the Logitech Headset H340 a supported device. I think I just changed alsa.conf to have it working, but I'll test deeper soon
