Optifine & chunkloading issues. [workaround in comments] #53
Comments
Here's what may happen:
Here's what you can do to fix this: Option 1. Use a dedicated forge server, you can still play locally you just need to have your server instance be separate. Install a forge server with all your mods and run, then go to multiplayer and direct connect to "localhost:25565" Option 2. Mess with optifine chunkloading settings, some/all of them seem to be under "Video Settings>Performance". Your mileage may vary, but be sure to disable both lazy chunkloading and smooth world loading Option 3. Do not use optifine or chunk loaders |
Came here because the Tug would get stuck if it went out of entity range of the player. The Tug would become unresponsive until broken into an item and re-placed on the water. Without OptiFine it works, but if the tug was stuck before saving and disabling OptiFine, you must break the tug again to get it going. Just wanted to share the experience in case other people have tugs just freezing in-place. Edit: Seems to have cleared up with disabling lazy loading and smooth world. I also had issues with the Chunk Loaders and Create Chunkloading mods that seem to have also resolved by changing these settings. |
Yeah it literally just doesn't work, even with Lazyloading turned off
