This seems to be a defect, but I can't say what is causing it right now. I will let you know when will find something. |
having the same issue with my pixel 3, ive tried two different cables (usb c to usb c and usb c to usb a, but with a usb c adapter) with the same results. it was able to read the id one time but now it won't even do that :( |

I am able to launch payloads on my S20 after I messed with developer options.. and force to enable usb. |
I would say, that all Samsung devices are pain for developers 👍 |
Hey I'm the op I found a fix, I tried a different cable and it works, so I put it down to not all USB cables are compatible for some reason. Hope this helps |

I'm getting failed to get device ID error. Screen is staying black.
