Any idea where I could find the mercator_tiffs.tar in order for this style to work ? http://developer.mapquest.com/content/static/geotiffs/mercator_tiffs.tar is dead.

They still seem not to be online again. For the interim, I've put them up here:

As the alternative download site above currently also seems to be offline I've put a copy I grabbed earlier up on http://www.osm-baustelle.de/mercator_tiffs.tar.bz2
