Hovering the bears is an important part of the user experience because it gives them social information about who's in their room and what they're working on. However, this capability is not intuitive/obvious because the bears sort of blend in with the scene and there's no distinguishing features that signal 'hover me.'

I think the most intuitive method would be to highlight the bears with a border.
Due to the implementation of the bears (full size images with transparent backgrounds layered on top of the room), doing this through css isn't very easy. I think it would be best to manually add the border to the bear sprites themselves.
