Is it possible to extend or pop out the json path expression input?

Navigating through longer json paths makes this input field hard to use, and I've found myself getting confused with the indicator.

I've highlighted below the section of the json path input, can this be

• extended to a customizable length provided by user? (without impacting app bounds of course)
• popped out to a new tab/window to allow deeper json navigation
• anything else?
