Great Article, Showcases a lot about Vue.js. But one thing I wanna know is that like in Next.js 13/14, We can use Server Components and Server actions. Is there something like this in Vue ecosystem.

Nuxt has something similar to Server Components. They call it <NuxtIsland /> and it's still in development. Server functions are currently discussed in an RFC, but available as a module.

You may also have a look at Nuxt FormActions which is a module that allows you to define server-side actions for your forms. It's not exactly the same as Server Actions in Next.js, but it's a very similar concept.

Yeah. You are right. Vue, Svelte, Solid, and Qwik are indeed the future. Thier DX is no match with React. But the reason I am not switching to them yet is because of the ecosystem of React. Tons of libraries, component libraries, so many things that help me develop faster with React than other frameworks. So, I think I would stick to React for quite some while.

Jotai, React Query, Radix UI, Framer Motion, etc. And also, I have so many components and hooks pre-built with React, so with each new project, I reuse and it helps me make new projects faster.

So it's kind of a loop 😅 which makes me stick with Next.js every time I start a new project.

By the way, I tried Svelte 2 years ago, and I struggled to find even a stable SPA router library. But things have changed now I think. Gotta give new web frameworks a try. I also feel React is so much boilerplate compared to others. By the way, what do you think? Does Vue have better DX than Svelte?

For example, I found a useful library today called "sonner" https://github.com/emilkowalski/sonner. It's specifically designed for React and it's often challenging to find similar libraries for other frameworks.

• Jotai - Looks similar to what you get with vue/pinia.
• React Query - Tanstack Query is available for vue
• Radix UI - There are also lots of great UI frameworks for vue. I personally like primevue
• Framer motion - VueUse covers a lot. There is also @vueuse/motion
• sonner - For example primevue also contains a system for toasts

I agree with you that existing code can't be used anymore after a switch, but do you still use Windows XP and Java too?

When you use astro, you can mix different libs. For example you can make one part in react and a newer one in vue. The downside is that astro is made for more static things (like my blog) and not for big apps. I plan to write about that topic next.

I've switched from Vue2 to React 16 when FC has realeased in 2018 (and that was not clear enough in Vue). I know that I could switch once again. To Vue ? I dunno yet.

I've been interested in switching from React to either Vue or Svelte. But the thing that is holding me back is React Native. Being able to develop mobile applications with same framework is pretty powerful imo. But I love vue devtools, that is sooo helpful!

By the way I am a Flutter developer and I feel vue and Flutter are good together till Flutter gets better in web.

I don't think flutter will every be a great option for the web. Dart is a garbage-collected language and therefore it will never reach the performance of rust. Rust is also more robust. I think the languages of the web will be JavaScript/TypeScript and for high-performant parts rust.
