I was wondering whether it would be easy to implement different (bosonic) propagators often used in many body theory, e.g. slim rectangles for spin conserving interactions or filled rectangular blobs for renormalized interactions, example using tikz manually.

You should be able to define your own propagators with \tikzfeynmanset in your preamble. For example, you could simulate the rectangles but having a very thick line.
