This is a nice to have improvement for another trendsetting (GSPS was first) revolution for runs which are actually compatible with this concept.
In case we have someone in tech crew who knows the multi-player run well, we could be able to 'enhance' viewer's experience by directing the stream by dynamically switching the currently showcased feed (while keeping the remaining ones on the side) to match what the commentary is currently focused on, or to keep focus on action in moments of cooldown.
From OBS perspective, in simplest form, it could just be a cloned scene with different variants for game feed ordering. It would be cool to introduce the feed mapping so that it is always clear which feed is showing which player, a simple color coded box would do the job (with colors assigned either manually in layout dashboard or just based on player order).
This is (probably not the best possible) example of how this could be layered out - camera would be widescreen, giving more space for run info, runners, timer and possibly (hopefully) some place remaining for sponsors, main game feed could be smaller to fit remaining feeds without spaces between them, that would also give more space for run info:
For runs with less than 4 players, we could put logos in empty slots.
Oh and of course, there's no way this could work for 4:3 sadly, unless we compress it heavily...
