How much hard drive space does it take up during compilation? #15

From 10am to 6pm, it has been in compilation mode and its usage has increased from around 30% to 85%. The 8-hour duration and 10 GB of space really scared me. Is this really a normal state?

40gb i found... still not managed to compile correctly

The o2 build takes 40 minutes on a 4x8-core Xeon E5-4560 (-j 64) with several hundreds GB of RAM and produces 42GB of crap. You only need the 4GB (!) mongod, strip it to 130MB and delete the rest.
