Jackson-Core 2.17.3.1 release?

@cowtowncoder I think dae16ea is a fairly important bug fix. I'm surprised it wasn't reported earlier. Has been around since 2.15.0. If a full 2.17.4 release is a bit too much work, would a 2.17.3.1 where only jackson-core and maybe jackson-databind are released be an ok compromise. I have a fair number of libs using 2.17 and getting everything up to 2.18 would be a fair amount of effort. The code changes are small - it is getting all the users to upgrade. 2.17.3.1 or 2.17.4 would be an easier release to persuade user uptake.

I wouldn't mind having a day or 2 more to check things - so I'm not pressing for an immediate release.

that spending 3 hours for full release does not sound appetizing.
But I could do micro-patch, matching jackson-bom. Technically there are no changes to jackson-databind but perhaps it should be released still. Not 100% sure.
