Hello! I’m a musician live-streaming to Crowdcast via Chrome—using Logic Pro as my mixer and effects.
I recently upgraded to a MacBook Pro with the M1 max chip and began having problems with audio. It’s listenable, but drops out here and there very quickly like a call with a less than ideal mobile signal.
Switching the buffer in logic seemed to make little difference, if any. I’m now at 256, which is more than adequate for a laptop with 64 gigs of RAM. I’ve also done a Speedtest and my upload speed is hovering around 40 mbps where it should be.
There is an audio mode within Crowdcast called “studio audio” which lists the bitrate as 128,000. I am also streaming 720p video.
The ONLY thing that seemed to help, but only a little—was going into audio settings in Logic and changing rewire behavior to “live mode”, which doesn’t really make sense to me, but it seemed to help.
Any help SO appreciated! Thanks!
ps- I should have mentioned I’m using a multi-output device as my output in Logic. In Crowdcast, I choose blackhole as my audio source.
