I was trying to look more into the issues im having, and I realised one of my EST Lites had Occupancy Mask controls but my others didnt. It turned out this was causing issues, and disabling the occupancy mask entities in HA fixed that one issue.
I had no idea what they were for, I didnt add them, I don't know why they were there. I went back and looked through all the documentation, and there is no mention of it anywhere. I had to go searching through the code here to find what they did and I now see they are exclusion masks.
For simplicity maybe they should be renamed to something more obvious such as exclusion mask so there is no mistaking what it does.
The documentation should be updated so if other people have these entities appear and start causing issues for them, they might have a chance of working it out.
Also maybe something went wrong with an update since this one unit had the occupancy mask added after an update, but my others didnt. Im a tech person so I was able to work it out, but a non tech person would have no way to fix this issue if after doing an update an exclusion zone is auto added to their device without them realising.

Hello, the Occupancy Masks/Exclusion Masks were a very recent addition in the last update, so you'd need to update all of your devices to 1.2.0 to add this feature.
Documentation is still to be added as you say to describe what this does, it's in the works
