yeahh so I initially set out to mimic blender in this regard, as they do the same thing with their primitives. I was never 100% sure what their rationale was, but I assumed it had to do with giving circular thing that had a radius parameter, a radius of 1, but that does seem less consequential then being able to say that a shape, whatever it is, is SX=5, and intuitively read that as 5 m cube for example.
right now, one has to do some mental math and know that if they type SX=5 that actually is a 10 meter cube on X..
Is this what you're referencing?
As far as having a field for size, this would be different than scale as you mentioned, blender handles this nicely with their dimensions fields, and I guess that is their solution for making it easy for people to type in specific sizes irrespective of scale values.
That does seem like a good one to have in the software, I use those fields in blender constantly.
