TropFlux is a dataset providing air-sea flux estimates over the tropics, combining observations, satellite data, and reanalysis with bias corrections. It’s widely used for studying tropical climate processes like ENSO because it’s accurate and well-suited for these evaluations.

The CLIVAR package already uses TropFlux for ENSO diagnostics. To ensure we can compare ESMValTool’s diagnostics with CLIVAR’s framework, it’s important to include TropFlux as part of this effort.

I’ll open a PR to propose an implementation for a TropFlux CMORiser.
