Sample alias error leads to loss of all form data in submitter portal

Describe the bug
I attempted to add a sample in the Submitter Portal and selected an alias that was not unique (e.g., Alias 3). I completed the entire form, including all required and optional information. However, upon pressing the ADD button, I received a message indicating that Alias 3 is not unique, and the system rejected my submission. Unfortunately, all the other information I had entered was also lost. This situation can be quite frustrating for users.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to 'Samples"
2. Click on ' Add sample'
3. Enter first a not unique Alias (such as Alias 3)
4. Enter the information in the different parts of the form.
5. Press ADD
6. The form disappears
7. A red window pops up informing you that Alias 3 is not unique

Expected behavior
I expected to receive a pop-up window indicating that there was an issue with the alias name. However, I was surprised that the entire form disappeared, requiring me to re-enter all the information I had previously provided.
