Build Fails : Missing Makefile While Building E3SM with X Compset

Hi,
While trying to build E3SM with the X compset, the build fails without creating a Makefile. The steps followed for the build are provided below. Despite successfully building GPTL, MCT, SPIO, and csm_share, the case.build step fails. Error logs and the machine file are attached for reference.

/scratch/pjayashri/e3sm/E3SM/cime/scripts/create_newcase --case iuac_openmpi_gcc8_OM3_netcdf_with_OM3_PN ^Ccompset X --res f19_g16 --mach IUAC_openmpi --compiler gnu
./case.setup
./case.build

Could you please provide insights or suggestions as to why the Makefile is not being generated during the case.build step?
