Attempted to migrate 2.1.4->2.1.5 on MacOSX 12.6.8 (21G725) - Intel #2471
-
Don't know how but 2.1.5 doesn't run no matter how many fixes I've tried. I've checked and double-checked all Privacy and Security settings. Nothing seems to allow the new executable to work. I've uninstalled, re-installed the service and it won't start. And I don't see anything in the Mac Console, showing where it attempts to start but blocks it. I've tried clean, example.toml file from the new 2.1.5 tar-zip. Still doesn't launch. Nothing in the local error logs in dnscrypt-proxy, nothing gets logged, it just doesn't start. Activity monitor shows it's definitely not running. |

I see a few people using Hombrew and apt-get to manage their installs. So I tried that using Homebrew, and for some majickal reason, the 2.1.5 executable now has correct permissions and launches with the Homebrew package manager. So I am all set with 2.1.5 on Mac OS X! |
