The aprpdf and appdf files provided here are binary and not upward compatible, so the simulation cannot be opened in modern versions of ACM. Can someone with access to the originals provide the Aspen Properties backup (aprbkp)?

I looked at this with Aspen the other day. The original aprpdf was made in V7.2. Aspen couldn't open it in their test stand, but they were able to tell what property methods were specified. I recreated them using embedded properties and the simulation file will now open in any version of ACM. It doesn't converge, however, so I'm including as an attachment rather than a pull request (change extension back to .acmf).
