User model for bayesian inference

Hi everyone. Ana is a graduate student at WVU, and we are trying to avoid using a response surface surrogate when performing Bayesian Inference and use her own model in FOQUS. I see there is an option for User Regression and you can select a python file, but I'm not sure what format is needed. Does anyone know if this is possible?

@Ryan-Hughes-8 if you're referring to the user regression option for response surface in UQ, I haven't used it before and this was built by Jeremy a while back. From the PSUADE documentation though I can see the following information:

* R-square gives a measure of the goodness of the model.
* R-square should be close to 1 if it is a good model.
* Turn on rs_expert mode to select input scaling.
* Option to use a ps_user_regr_info file to feed information
* Turn on rs_expert mode to skip regression analysis.
* Create ps_user_regr_info file to set information.

UserRegression: this regression method needs 3 pieces of
                 information from you:
  (1) number of basis functions in your regression (M).
  (2) a user-generated executable file which evaluates
      the basis functions given any set of sample points.
      This file (say user.py) will be called via:

          user.py paramfile outputfile 

       where param_file (generated by PSUADE) has the format: 
       line 1: <N sample points> <number of inputs m>
       line 2: 1 followed by input values for sample point 1
       line 3: 2 followed by input values for sample point 2
       .....
       Outputfile (created by user.py) should have this format:
       line 1: 1 <M basis functions evaluated for sample 1> 
       line 2: 2 <M basis functions evaluated for sample 2> 
       .....
  (3) auxiliary argument (e.g. selection for multi-output)
