The bones whith type game.basic.raw_copy did not generate deformation bones when adding a 'DEF-' prefix #23
Comments
The raw_copy type does not create any additional bones. It gets copied as is into the rig. The instruction you have outlined in the screenshot means that if you want to make a DEF bone out of it, then you should set it up manually as a DEF bone (i.e. add the prefix, move it to the correct layer, parent it to another DEF bone if needed etc.) |
Hi.You can compare it with rigify type basic.raw_copy when adding a 'DEF-' prefix, and the results are not the same. |
I did not know this. Will probably have to do some modifications to the raw_copy type to make it work the same. Thanks for reporting it. |
Just going to add a some more info to this. Giving the bone the prefix MCH, DEF, or ORG, should place the bones in their respective bone collection after generation. Love your book btw! I literally take it everywhere with me. |
So it turns out that this functionality actually works! I've using the "Re-Generate Rig" button instead of the "Generate GameRig" button on my meta-rig because I didn't think it mattered. I was so excited when it worked, can't tell you how happy I am! |
