Dear Apache Friends team,
I would like to bring to your attention a critical accessibility issue with the Windows installer for XAMPP. It is currently completely unusable with screen readers, making it impossible for visually impaired users to install the software independently.
The specific issues are as follows:
• Screen readers cannot detect or interact with any of the buttons in the installer.
• Navigation using standard methods, such as object navigation or keyboard navigation, does not work.
• The installer interface appears invisible to screen readers, as no actionable elements (e.g., buttons or controls) are announced.
This issue has been tested with multiple screen readers, including popular ones, and the result is the same across all of them.
The lack of accessibility in the installer creates a significant barrier for users who rely on assistive technologies. I kindly request that the installer interface be reviewed and updated to comply with accessibility standards, ensuring that all interactive elements are properly labeled and can be navigated using a keyboard or assistive tools.
Thank you for addressing this matter, and I look forward to any updates or fixes that can improve accessibility for all users.
Best regards,
[Ronny]

Hello, I am a web programmer who is visually impaired, so I obviously make use of the Xamp tool. However, I have realized that many of us, when wanting to install the tool on Windows, find it difficult due to the inaccessibility of the installer, so I also ask you to consider creating a more accessible and inclusive solution for we.
Thank you in advance and I hope you can do it.
