xampp-control-panel outdated?

Hello,

In share/ there is xampp-control-panel

I tried running it but it seems to require python2 which is not distributed anymore on latest debian release (Debian 12/bookworm)

The README mentions svn.jonobacon.org/svn/xampp-control-panel but that doesn't seem accessible anymore.

Expected:

• either update to python3
• or if the tool is not relevant anymore, remove it?

Thanks for the feedback. That is an UI tool for Linux and, as it requires python2 we can deprecate in future versions of XAMPP. We would suggest to use the CLI tool that appears in the FAQ: sudo /opt/lampp/lampp
