Wanted to inquire why does this replace the main chrome installed and if I am wrong acted like chromium (blue color one that installed randomly on device) and not as standalone app like Opera or Vivaldi or Zen browser away from their original Chromium forks?

So, should I install this without any fear of getting this mixed with existing browsers?

I had encountered a problem that I decided to uninstall thorium, it also removed files and data and tabs, of course 😭 of chrome and chrome dev. This happened like last year so if you could clarify on this.

I hope thorium has different installation directory like of Vivaldi and opera and edge and chrome despite being of same chromium family.
