Adguard Exceptions and Exclusions filter lists

Hi there. I am curious about the official purpose of the exceptions and exclusions lists below. They're certainly not advertised anywhere, and I only came across them by poking around the AdGuardSDNSFilter github.

So, are they intended to be used in conjunction with the DNS filter (there's no doco suggesting this)?

Are they already included in the DNS filter (not that I can see)? This page suggests that exclusions and exceptions do form part of the DNS filter (https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardSDNSFilter), but if I search for an entry in exclusions for example (lloydsbankinggroup.tt.omtrdc.net), it doesn't appear in the full filter. Thoroughly confused.
