Visualization and Data Pipelining Roadmap

Agency Visualization Requirements

This is part of Task 4 of the Phase 6B work plan.

Survey: Viz: Viz tools and run management at each agency
Identify common workflows and needs that meet the broadest number of existing/future stakeholders
Document stakeholders purposes, needs, and use cases for visualization: long-term road map
Identify potential visualization frameworks & review for fitness, extensibility, implementation
Recommend preferred frameworks and solutions
Assess existing data pipeline architecture
- Identify revisions to support organization, storage, analysis
- Consider different contexts: debugging, calibration/validation, project analysis, scenario comparisons
Implement data pipeline modifications
Implement initial viz platform which supports the above use cases
Test, iterate, document, deploy tool(s) inside the ActivitySim repository
- A subset of agency partners will be involved in initial iterations, then roll out to larger consortium
